Vehicle Monitoring Coordinator – Purpose of the Role
The Vehicle Monitoring Coordinator is responsible for supporting operational efficiency by monitoring vehicle activity, managing incidents and faults, and ensuring accurate reporting and communication. This role focuses on procedural compliance, professional conduct, and maintaining health, safety, and housekeeping standards while promptly addressing vehicle-related issues to minimise downtime and support service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Monitoring and Incident Management
- Monitor vehicles in line with company procedures
- Identify, record, and report deviations or exceptions promptly
- Acknowledge and address all alarms within the required timeframe
- Respond professionally to incidents and accidents, following company protocols
Communication and Reporting
- Receive or request daily route sheets from relevant business units
- Accurately record all operational and vehicle performance information
- Compile and distribute operational reports to stakeholders on time
- Log and report all unusual events or occurrences accurately
Fault Management and Vehicle Repairs
- Update vehicle faults daily in the system or relevant logs
- Communicate faults to the appropriate personnel or departments
- Follow up to ensure timely and effective completion of vehicle repairs
Operational Support
- Assist with operational tasks and functions as required
- Maintain professional conduct in all interactions with staff, customers, and external parties
- Adhere to company dress code and grooming standards
Housekeeping, Health, and Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area daily
- Comply with all Health and Safety regulations and consistently follow safe working practices
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
