Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is building a Beauty Therapist Talent Pool to support future opportunities across various stores. This initiative ensures a pipeline of skilled and qualified beauty therapists who are ready to deliver exceptional salon services and customer experiences when positions become available.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• 2-year relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum of 12 months’ practical experience in a professional beauty salon environment
• Computer literacy
• Strong numerical skills
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• 3-year relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience in a professional beauty salon environment

Job Specification

• Deliver a high-quality and professional salon experience to customers
• Perform treatments including facials, waxing, massages, manicures, and pedicures in line with company standards
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback effectively
• Stay updated on new products, treatments, and industry trends
• Manage and monitor salon stock levels according to operational needs
• Ensure all equipment is clean, hygienic, and fully operational at all times

Competencies

Essential:

• Solid understanding of skin anatomy, physiology, and treatment contraindications
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
• Target-driven with the ability to meet deadlines

Advantageous:

• Experience with soft laser, bio-magnetic therapy, microdermabrasion, slimming, and spray tanning
• Additional training on laser or salon equipment
• Bilingual abilities

Special Conditions of Employment:

• Willing and able to work retail hours
• Willing and able to travel to and from the store
• Physically fit to perform massage and body treatments
• South African citizen
• Clear criminal and credit record
