Role Overview
The Trainee Admin Manager is responsible for supporting and managing administrative operations to ensure optimal performance and profitability. This role focuses on controlling expenses, maintaining effective end-to-end administrative processes, and supporting the store’s strategic objectives while developing the skills required for progression into an Admin Manager role.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
- 2–4 years’ relevant experience in a retail administration environment.

Key Performance Areas
Financial & Expense Control
- Support turnover and profit performance in line with store targets.
- Monitor like-for-like sales growth and positive growth trends.
- Track shortages, waste, and shrinkage against budgeted targets.
- Manage controllable expenses, including total trading expenses, employee costs, and repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure expense levels are aligned with sales performance and budget expectations.
Administrative Excellence
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date administrative processes across the store.
- Ensure shorts and overs are executed and controlled in line with procedures.
- Maintain general administration standards and compliance at all times.
- Support the implementation and ongoing use of Workday systems.
Audit & Compliance Performance
- Achieve company targets for Fanscore audits.
- Support compliance with food safety audit requirements.
- Ensure adherence to OHS and OHIO audit standards.
- Support successful outcomes in remote audits, Barn Owl, CSA audits, and related administrative reviews.
People & Training Support
- Support training initiatives to ensure staff are competent and compliant.
- Promote teamwork and effective collaboration across departments.
- Contribute to a positive working environment focused on continuous improvement.
