Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Analyse large datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and indicators of fraudulent activity.
- Develop predictive models to anticipate and prevent fraudulent behaviour.
- Research and implement the latest fraud detection techniques to enhance organisational practices.
- Evaluate and improve the accuracy and efficiency of fraud detection systems and models.
- Ensure data integrity and maintain security of sensitive information throughout analysis.
- Provide insights and recommendations to strengthen overall fraud prevention measures.
- Implement real-time analytics to detect and respond to fraudulent activities promptly.
- Regularly update and refine fraud detection models based on emerging trends and new data.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement comprehensive fraud prevention strategies.
- Design and implement systems for identifying unusual behaviours or transactions indicative of fraud.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fraud detection or data analysis
- Experience working with large datasets and databases
Required Knowledge / Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R, SQL, Python, and Java
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and data analysis techniques
- Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications
