Job Overview
The Supervisor Distribution is responsible for coordinating daily distribution operations to ensure that vehicles, drivers, and products are available to meet scheduled delivery requirements. This role focuses on optimizing vehicle utilization, managing distribution resources, maintaining accurate operational records, and ensuring efficient customer service delivery. The Supervisor Distribution also oversees stock control, vehicle licensing, and team performance to support smooth and reliable distribution activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate distribution activities including products, personnel, vehicles, routes, and customer deliveries.
• Ensure the availability of vehicles and drivers to meet delivery schedules and operational requirements.
• Optimize vehicle utilization to improve distribution efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Maintain accurate records related to vehicle operations, driver hours, and distribution activities.
• Oversee stock control and manage cash handling processes within the distribution function.
• Ensure effective customer service delivery by managing orders, deliveries, product handling, and customer queries.
• Manage the licensing and compliance of distribution vehicles.
• Supervise and maintain distribution assets including vehicles, crates, and related equipment.
• Lead and manage the distribution team to ensure operational targets and service standards are achieved.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• National Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in a distribution or logistics environment.
