About the Role
The Supervisor Deli is responsible for managing resources to maximize turnover and minimize shortages, ensuring that all standards, processes, and company policies are consistently adhered to. This role supports operational efficiency, compliance, and a high-quality customer experience in the Deli department.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Five years’ experience or training in food retail and resource management

• Customer orientation
• Strong communication skills, including clear messaging and active listening
• Business-minded approach

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with hygiene, housekeeping, and safe working standards
• Monitor and implement all promotional activities according to the promotional calendar
• Maintain clean and organized back-up areas
• Understand customer needs and communicate effectively with demand planning teams
• Follow sell-by dates and rotate stock according to policy/SOP for both sales floor and back-up areas
• Maintain department merchandising and cleanliness standards throughout the day while minimizing waste
