Job Description

Tekkie Town is seeking a results-driven Store Manager to lead store operations while delivering outstanding customer service and achieving strong sales performance. The role focuses on maintaining efficient daily operations, optimizing merchandise presentation, and motivating staff to create a customer-focused shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales and profit targets through the effective management of store resources
  • Safeguard all store assets including stock, cash, equipment, staff, and customers
  • Implement and enforce company policies and operational procedures
  • Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales and lay-by targets for store staff
  • Monitor staff performance against budgets and take corrective action where necessary
  • Ensure store layouts and visual merchandising comply with company standards
  • Maintain accurate administrative procedures relating to stockroom management, markdowns, and lay-by transactions
  • Ensure effective merchandise replenishment and maintain high housekeeping standards
  • Manage and support daily store operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Lead, recruit, train, and develop staff to create a customer-friendly and high-performing team environment

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Matric with Mathematics

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in store management is essential
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to delivering excellent customer experiences
  • Proven management skills with the ability to develop and support team members
  • Strong planning, organisational, and operational control abilities
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with retail systems
  • Working knowledge of budgeting and financial management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining store standards
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment
  • High level of integrity, initiative, and professionalism
