About the Role:
The Store Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the store, ensuring it runs efficiently and delivers excellent customer experiences. This role involves leading and motivating the sales team, developing and executing store-specific business strategies, implementing promotions, controlling expenses, and training new staff. The Store Manager ensures customers enjoy a seamless shopping experience through product knowledge, stock availability, outstanding store presentation, awareness of the latest fashion trends, and minimizing stock losses.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• 3–5 years of retail experience
• Computer literate
• Strong communication skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• At least 1–2 years of management experience in a retail environment
• Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate resilience
• Team player with strong leadership and staff management skills
• Business acumen with attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
• Customer service focused
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Confidence and decisiveness
• Passion for the brand
• Social media awareness and fashion-savvy

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise staff
• Manage staff performance and development
• Oversee budgets including P&L and payroll
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly financial and statistical records
• Handle customer queries and complaints efficiently
• Maximise profitability and achieve sales targets by motivating the team
• Ensure effective visual merchandising and store presentation
• Manage inventory and stock control
• Secure and account for store equipment
• Maintain health and safety standards for both customers and staff
• Monitor store performance against daily, weekly, and monthly targets
• Develop and implement store-specific action plans to minimize stock loss
