Description

Purpose of the Role
The Store Manager is responsible for leading the store team to achieve key business KPIs, including driving sales growth, controlling costs, reducing risks and stock loss, managing administration, and maintaining world-class store standards.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Customer Experience
Increase sales performance by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining world-class store standards, ensuring store image excellence, managing stock effectively, and executing promotions successfully.

Stock and Risk Management
Minimise stock loss by promoting a strong store culture, enforcing security measures, and ensuring strict adherence to stock and cash handling procedures.

Cost Management
Control store costs in line with the company’s low-cost culture by identifying and driving operational efficiencies.

Store Administration
Ensure all store administrative duties are completed accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Team Leadership and Development
Lead and motivate a dynamic team by providing training, coaching, and performance management to support team success and growth.

Health, Safety and Store Standards
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the store environment.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 qualification
Proficiency in English
Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Retail, or related field is advantageous
1–2 years retail experience, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and/or Google GSuite, is advantageous

Strong passion for retail and delivering exceptional customer experiences
High level of integrity and willingness to go the extra mile
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
Strong managerial ability with skills in planning, organising, leading, and controlling operations
Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment
Willingness to work retail hours
