Introduction
Clicks Group Careers is looking for a results-driven Store Manager to plan, lead, and direct the day-to-day operations of the store team, ensuring operational excellence and achievement of business objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maximise store profitability by managing key financial indicators, including sales, trading profit, shrinkage, wastage, stock, and expenses, aligned to budget.
- Deliver consistently high standards of customer service through achieving objectives and driving continuous improvement.
- Lead and manage the store team, ensuring effective people management, development, and alignment to build capability for current and future staffing needs.
- Drive and maintain compliance with all in-store processes, policies, and operational requirements.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric/Grade 12 (essential)
- Business or Retail Management Diploma (desirable)
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in retail as a Store Manager (essential)
Skills, Abilities, and Job-Related Knowledge:
- Knowledge of store standard operating procedures
- Understanding of legislation, industrial relations, and safety & security procedures
- Strong customer service knowledge
- Knowledge of merchandising, including visual displays, layout, and planograms
- Product knowledge and understanding of retail logistics/supply chain
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Planning, organising, controlling, and delegation skills
- Conflict management and problem-solving abilities
- Financial management and performance monitoring skills
- Decision-making and performance management expertise
