About the Program
FlySafair is seeking a dynamic and detail-driven Stock & Compliance Team Leader to oversee stock control processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a high-performing team within a fast-paced operational environment.
Job Description
- Utilise stock reports to prioritise stock checks, identify discrepancies, and determine areas requiring follow-up.
- Ensure adherence to operational procedures while providing hands-on support and corrective guidance to the team when necessary.
- Review and validate stock data to ensure accuracy and full procedural compliance.
- Compile and submit regular management reports summarising stock counts, variances, compliance findings, and recommended actions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the team, resolving queries and supporting daily operational efficiency.
- Follow up on discrepancies and compliance concerns to ensure timely resolution.
- Support ad hoc stock control and compliance initiatives to maintain operational continuity.
- Provide daily leadership, direction, and oversight to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver continuous feedback to operational teams to enhance stock accuracy, compliance standards, and workflow effectiveness.
- Promote a strong culture of teamwork, accountability, and collaboration.
- Monitor, assess, and optimise team performance to achieve operational targets.
- Liaise with flight crew, catering partners, and operational stakeholders to resolve stock-related queries and discrepancies in real time.
- Communicate stock variances, sealing issues, procedural gaps, and non-compliance findings clearly and promptly to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing guidance to ensure stakeholders understand stock handling and compliance requirements within daily operations.
- Facilitate effective coordination between the Stock & Compliance team and external partners during stock count processes.
Job Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential).
- Relevant Diploma or Degree (Preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience within a mid-sized organisation (Essential).
- Strong understanding of stock control procedures, stock counting methodologies, and data verification processes.
- Knowledge of compliance and operational standards related to stock handling, trolley sealing, and secure storage practices.
