Job Overview
The Site Finance Lead is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong financial controls at the site level. This role oversees key financial processes including inventory management, payroll, asset verification, and adherence to company policies. The Site Finance Lead collaborates closely with operations, HR, and distribution teams to provide timely financial insights, support cost control initiatives, and facilitate month-end closure activities to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Order to Cash Management
- Oversee driver shortages and conduct weekly and monthly review meetings.
- Manage credit notes, including obtaining approvals and releasing them in SAP.
- Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations and provide feedback to IDC.
- Manage freight order settlements and monthly journal clearing.
- Verify IDC commission calculations and support IDC contract renewals.
Financial Management
- Lead all site finance activities related to month-end closure processes.
- Prepare monthly financial forecasts and provide weekly updates.
- Support site functional leads in productivity initiatives and cost optimization.
- Review and release purchase orders while following up on outstanding POs.
- Monitor operating costs weekly and monthly to ensure alignment with budgets.
- Update and maintain sales and production reports, including key metrics such as yields and cost per unit.
- Maintain daily and monthly financial scorecards, providing actionable feedback to the HOD team.
Stock Management
- Monitor flour stock variances and reconcile with silo records.
- Conduct weekly and monthly stock counts and post discrepancies.
- Track process orders and damage order settlements on a regular basis.
Payroll Management
- Monitor and report on overtime approvals and corrections.
- Submit manual payroll inputs and calculate driver commissions.
- Control TES processes including reporting, requisitions, approvals, and reconciliations.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures in line with Enterprise Control requirements.
- Execute weekly and monthly enterprise control checks to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting, B.Com, or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of finance management experience; retail or FMCG exposure is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to self-manage in a complex matrix environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SAP, and MS Power Apps.
