Job Description
Fidelity is seeking a skilled Signal Management Technician to install, program, and maintain electronic security equipment at commercial and industrial premises. This role ensures high-quality service delivery and effective signal management for all assigned systems.
Reporting To: Signal Management Team Leader
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Matric or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electronic Security Technician.
- Experience in programming, wiring, installations, and fault finding.
Job Requirements & Attributes
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence.
- PSIRA registered (Grade C).
- Basic understanding of electronics.
- Knowledge of DSC, IDS, and PARADOX systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and service existing equipment.
- Willingness to work standby when required.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Program electronic security systems according to specifications.
- Plan and coordinate cable runs with wiremen.
- Obtain customer codes before attending daily calls and standby duties.
- Complete job handovers and job cards after each installation.
- Provide feedback to Manager, Supervisor, and Call Centre upon job completion.
- Maintain and update stock, assisting the storeman with stocktakes.
- Keep company vehicle clean and submit petrol slips.
