Introduction

Clicks Group Careers is inviting applications for a motivated and customer-focused Shop Assistant / Cashier X1. This role is dedicated to delivering service excellence through efficient point of sale operations, effective merchandising, and outstanding customer engagement to ensure a positive and rewarding shopping experience.

Job Objectives

• Accurately and efficiently execute all point of sale operational activities
• Maintain high levels of accuracy when scanning merchandise and processing payments, including clubcard rewards
• Ensure safe and secure handling of cash at all times
• Proactively promote the Clicks ClubCard programme and enroll new members to achieve participation targets
• Inform customers about current promotions and special offers to drive sales and enhance value
• Deliver exceptional customer service by acting as a visible, friendly, and professional brand ambassador
• Maintain merchandising standards and ensure housekeeping is aligned with store and visual merchandising guidelines
• Support the company’s vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by living the company values
• Stay informed about product ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate and helpful information to customers

Knowledge Requirements

• Basic mathematical skills
• Retail or FMCG experience with an understanding of merchandising and promotional principles
• Knowledge of stock management procedures
• Strong understanding of customer service excellence
