Truworths, South Africa’s leading fashion retailer, is seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders and team members to define, design, and deliver high-quality enterprise and e-commerce applications in an agile environment. You will develop robust solutions in merchandising ERP and e-commerce platforms, translating complex business requirements into functional, scalable applications.

This role is suited for individuals who value personal accountability, reliability, and long-term excellence. Success comes from depth of knowledge, consistent performance, and collaborative growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-stack development with a strong emphasis on front-end client-side
  • Analysis, design, and implementation of robust systems
  • Data modelling using relational databases
  • Collaborative team development and mentorship
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices across the team

Qualifications and Experience

  • BSc or BCom in Information Systems, IT/IS Diploma, or equivalent experience in Data Warehousing or Business Intelligence
  • Minimum of 5 years’ development experience
  • Proficient in React, Angular, C#, Typescript, and Javascript
  • Solid understanding of relational databases
  • Experience with Bitbucket or similar cloud repository services
  • Knowledge of REST services
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business users
  • Experience documenting technical requirements from business briefs

Competencies
Essential Technical Skills:

  • Agile/SCRUM experience
  • React, NextJS, REST, Typescript, CSS

Advantageous Technical Skills:

  • Oracle Cloud Commerce
  • E-commerce development
  • Oracle Database, SQL Server (SSAS/SSIS)
  • Testing methodologies and automation principles
  • Browser development tools and Safari/iOS experience
