Job Purpose
Clicks Group Careers is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Business Analyst to identify business needs, analyse complex requirements, and deliver value-driven solutions within the retail environment. This role plays a critical part in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams across the end-to-end retail value chain, including procurement, inventory management, merchandising, store operations, and omnichannel customer engagement.
The Senior Business Analyst operates in both project and business-as-usual environments, contributing to large-scale initiatives such as SAP S/4HANA implementations, while also supporting ongoing demand and enhancement requests. This position includes leadership responsibilities across the Business Analysis community and active contribution to the Business Analysis Centre of Excellence (BACoE).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and define the strategic approach to business analysis activities
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagements to gather requirements
- Elicit, analyse, and document business and system requirements across the retail value chain
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement effective solutions
- Document current (as-is) and future (to-be) processes, including gap analysis and improvement opportunities
- Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet defined requirements
- Produce and maintain high-quality documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), user stories with acceptance criteria, process maps, and impact assessments
- Manage requirement traceability and governance throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide input into business cases during pre-project phases
- Support post-implementation activities, including business-as-usual support and demand management
- Assist the business in tracking and realising benefits, including measurable cost reductions and performance improvements
- Contribute to the Business Analysis Centre of Excellence and ensure adherence to BA governance standards
- Drive continuous improvement and professional development within the BA practice
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders
- Provide leadership, supervision, mentoring, and coaching to Business Analysts
- Uphold and demonstrate the company’s values in all activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field
- Business Analysis certification (e.g., FTI – Faculty Training Institute such as AdBA/National Certificate, or IIBA certification)
- SAP certification is advantageous
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 6–8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a retail environment
- Proven experience across the retail value chain, including supply chain, buying, planning, warehousing, store operations, POS, ecommerce, and customer service
- Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project methodologies
- Strong track record in retail systems implementations and major transformation initiatives
- SAP implementation experience, particularly SAP S/4HANA modules such as SAP MM (Materials Management), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Real Estate (RE), and SAP FI/CO (Financial Accounting and Controlling)
- Managerial or supervisory experience
