Overview

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting property, assets, and individuals by maintaining a secure environment. The role involves monitoring premises, controlling access points, conducting patrols, and ensuring all security procedures are followed in accordance with company standards and training.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the safety and security of assigned premises and personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols to identify and prevent security risks or suspicious activity.
• Control entrance and exit points to ensure only authorized individuals gain access.
• Safeguard company property, assets, and equipment at all times.
• Complete and maintain relevant security registers and documentation accurately.
• Prepare clear and detailed incident and daily reports.
• Carry out all standard security duties in accordance with company procedures and training guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Grade 10 qualification.
• PSIRA Grade C accreditation and registration.
• At least 2 years of experience within the security industry.
• Clear criminal record.
• Willingness to undergo regular criminal background checks.
• Physically fit and capable of performing security duties effectively.
• Must reside in the area where the position is advertised.
