Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional financial advice, planning, and tailored product solutions to new and existing clients
- Build and maintain a sustainable portfolio of high-quality business aligned with set targets
- Develop long-term client relationships that promote loyalty and ongoing engagement
- Ensure all activities are conducted in a compliant and ethical manner
Business Growth and Development
- Support and execute marketing strategies to grow the adviser business
- Apply knowledge of market segmentation and customer profiles to drive targeted growth
- Achieve revenue targets through single and recurring premium generation
- Promote the Sanlam brand and deliver fair customer outcomes in all engagements
Networking and Lead Generation
- Identify and create new business opportunities through networking and relationship building
- Generate leads via social platforms, referrals, and professional associations
- Strengthen and expand existing client relationships to unlock additional value
- Conduct targeted campaigns and identify gaps within the client base for growth opportunities
- Monitor client activities such as policy changes, cancellations, or maturities to identify sales opportunities
Client Consultations and Sales
- Conduct detailed client fact-finding and financial needs analysis
- Develop and present personalised financial plans and solutions
- Ensure all advice and documentation meet compliance and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate client records using relevant systems and tools
- Review client portfolios regularly to ensure continued alignment with their needs
Client Service Excellence
- Deliver professional, ethical, and client-focused service at all times
- Resolve client queries efficiently through appropriate support channels
- Continuously enhance product knowledge and industry awareness
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
Monitoring and Reporting
- Track and report on client engagements, consultations, and sales performance
- Monitor revenue against targets and maintain accurate client data
- Ensure all activities are recorded within workflow and reporting systems
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Compliance with FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements
- Regulatory Examination (RE) completed for candidates registered with FSCA for more than 24 months
Knowledge and Skills
- Financial advisory and planning expertise
- Strong understanding of compliance and risk management
- Ability to meet production targets and manage budgets
- Client relationship management and advisory skills
