Job Overview
The Sales Supervisor is responsible for managing and supporting the activities of Van Sales Representatives to ensure the achievement of sales targets, profitability, and sustainable business growth. This role focuses on strengthening customer relationships, improving sales performance through coaching and training, and implementing strategies that support market expansion and increased customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide Van Sales Representatives to achieve sales targets and operational objectives.
- Promote and embed a strong customer-focused sales culture within the team.
- Conduct daily gate meetings before market operations to review performance and set daily priorities.
- Focus meeting discussions on month-to-date performance, execution standards, and discipline-related KPIs.
- Provide effective coaching and mentoring to improve the sales capabilities and performance of the sales team.
- Conduct in-market coaching sessions with Van Sales Representatives to strengthen sales execution and customer engagement.
- Ensure a 100% outlet visit rate across assigned sales routes.
- Conduct individual customer visits in the market to resolve issues and strengthen customer relationships.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business development and expansion of the customer base.
- Participate in internal meetings and operational discussions when required.
- Develop and implement internal and external business development strategies to support growth and increase market share.
- Align sales activities with evolving strategic directions and business priorities.
- Conduct regular training sessions in collaboration with the training team to enhance essential business and sales skills.
- Perform regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to sales team members.
Qualifications
- A three-year tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in an FMCG environment, including at least one year in a direct sales role.
- Valid driver’s license.
