Role Overview: Sales Supervisor
The Sales Supervisor will lead and manage van sales representatives to maximize profitability, drive sales growth, and ensure operational excellence. This role focuses on coaching, performance management, business development, and embedding a customer-focused sales culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and coach van sales teams to improve performance and sales capability
- Conduct daily gate meetings and focus on performance, execution, and discipline KPIs
- Ensure 100% outlet coverage within assigned routes
- Conduct in-market visits with van sales representatives to address customer issues
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow the customer base
- Support business growth strategies to increase market share
- Conduct performance reviews and provide actionable feedback
- Deliver training sessions on critical business skills alongside the training team
- Implement strategic changes and align team actions with business objectives
- Attend meetings as required and represent the sales team professionally
Minimum Requirements
- Three-year tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, or related field
- Minimum three years’ experience in an FMCG environment, including at least one year in a sales role
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong customer relations skills
- Results-driven with a self-starter attitude
- Analytical thinking with the ability to apply insights to drive sales growth
- Excellent planning, organization, influencing, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to interpret sales data and reports to identify opportunities and inform strategy
