Sales Representative – Purpose of the Role

The Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing and expanding sales across a diverse customer base, including retail, commercial, and industrial clients. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing customer relationships, and delivering tailored solutions that support sustainable sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and develop new customer opportunities across multiple market sectors
• Build, manage, and grow long-term relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business
• Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and key performance indicators
• Manage customer credit accounts, payment terms, and follow up on outstanding payments
• Present, promote, and sell company products and services to new and existing customers
• Address customer queries, resolve issues, and overcome sales objections professionally
• Monitor customer feedback, competitor activity, and market pricing trends
• Implement sales strategies aligned with overall marketing and business objectives
• Prepare and submit accurate weekly and monthly sales reports
• Execute daily route plans and ensure customer visits are completed as scheduled

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 5 to 10 years of relevant sales experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
