About the Role
Value Logistics is seeking a results-driven Sales Representative to promote and sell Value Services, with a strong focus on Value Truck Rental while actively cross-selling additional solutions including Value Logistics, Linehaul, Value Equipment, Fridge Fleet, Freightpak, Warehousing, Clearing and Forwarding, Moving Billboards, and Express services.
This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, securing new business, managing key accounts, and ensuring exceptional service delivery aligned with client needs and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Gather detailed information on clients’ transport, distribution, and related expenditure
- Evaluate potential business opportunities and apply strategic focus factors (G, S, B)
- Identify and understand competitors operating within the assigned area
- Build strong client relationships and establish long-term customer trust
- Identify customer service requirements and provide accurate quotations aligned with the correct Value service offering
- Grow the existing customer base by understanding client operations and cross-selling Value services
- Close deals effectively and target national accounts
- Maintain awareness of client contracts and ensure services remain aligned with contractual agreements
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and drive required increases
Customer Relationship & Service Excellence
- Add measurable value to every client interaction with clear objectives for each visit
- Maintain service levels in line with Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensure frequent engagement with key business decision-makers
- Keep product and service knowledge updated at all times
- Identify and resolve client queries promptly, including invoice issues, claims, and PODs
- Present a professional image in all interactions
- Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures
Reporting & Performance Management
- Submit all required sales reports accurately and on time
- Meet team expectations, budgets, and performance targets set by management
- Assist with additional tasks or responsibilities aligned with organisational objectives and within scope of capability
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Proven experience within a sales environment
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans

- Strong ability to identify and address customer needs within area of responsibility
