Key Roles and Responsibilities
Commercial Skills
- Understand the sales and marketing value chain and how roles interact
- Gather and use competitor information to inform selling strategies
- Make commercially astute decisions using pricing, product mix, and merchandising
Customer Focus
- Prioritize customer needs and develop strong, productive relationships
- Collaborate with customers on plans and decisions, ensuring loyalty and satisfaction
- Build authentic relationships across diverse customer groups
Accountability & Flexibility
- Take personal and professional responsibility for achieving results
- Adapt to changing situations, reprioritize tasks, and maintain high integrity
- Manage extraordinary working hours, including weekends and public holidays
Selling Skills
- Identify customer needs and opportunities, leveraging SAB’s unique value proposition
- Explore alternatives to achieve outcomes and gain customer commitment
- Plan, organize, and prioritize sales activities effectively
Customer Development
- Build and manage relationships with tavern owners
- Conduct weekly customer calls to strengthen partnerships and resolve issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer master data
- Achieve sales and volume targets, ensuring weekly direct purchases from SAB
AMPPS Delivery (Availability, Merchandising, Price, Promotions, Space)
- Ensure 100% availability of key brands and packs through forward planning
- Manage stock rotation and maintain product quality
- Implement merchandising strategies according to In Trade Execution Guidelines (ITEG)
- Negotiate and execute price communication, ensuring compliance with promotions and campaigns
- Track competitive shelf space and volumes to optimize brand positioning
Asset Management
- Manage SAB refrigeration assets and ensure governance and compliance
- Maintain all SAB assets in outlets, including merchandising and signage
- Conduct asset verification surveys and assist customers with stock replenishment systems

Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree
- Valid unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license
- Basic computer literacy with Microsoft Office experience
- Local area knowledge
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Successful completion of a driver’s assessment test
