Role Overview: Route Admin Clerk
The Route Admin Clerk will support the collection and management of in-trade delivery data during live customer deliveries. This role involves accompanying delivery teams, capturing operational data, and ensuring accurate recording and reporting of information. The collected data will contribute to improving delivery efficiency, operational standards, and business decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Accompany delivery vehicles to collect real-time operational data during customer deliveries
- Accurately capture and record delivery information using structured tools and questionnaires
- Compile, verify, and input collected data into organized spreadsheet formats
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of all recorded data
- Support the analysis and validation of delivery performance metrics
- Maintain confidentiality and handle all data in an ethical and responsible manner
- Communicate effectively with drivers, supervisors, and customer personnel when required
- Observe delivery processes objectively and record factual information without bias
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification
- Basic understanding of distribution, delivery, or in-trade operations is advantageous
- Strong numerical skills with high attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with systems such as Newspage and EWM is beneficial
