Job Description

Overview

The Retail Site Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations within a retail environment to ensure a safe and secure atmosphere for customers, employees, and assets. The role focuses on managing security personnel, implementing effective security strategies, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations Management

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop security strategies to minimize potential threats.
  • Oversee daily security operations and ensure effective deployment of security personnel.
  • Supervise, train, and support security staff to maintain high performance and professional standards.
  • Ensure all security procedures and protocols are properly implemented and followed.

Incident Management

  • Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of security issues.

Site Monitoring and Inspections

  • Maintain a strong presence at the retail site to monitor activities and address security concerns.
  • Conduct regular inspections and site visits to evaluate existing security measures.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures where necessary.

Client and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with center management and relevant stakeholders to address safety and security concerns.
  • Ensure clear communication regarding security matters and operational updates.

Compliance and Standards

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to security activities.

Requirements

  • PSIRA Grade A registration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail security management.
  • Proven experience managing security operations in a retail environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of security procedures, risk management, and operational protocols.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.
  • Flexibility to respond to incidents and security matters outside normal working hours when required.
