About the Role
FlySafair is seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical QA Auditor to support and enhance its Quality Assurance systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining compliance, improving operational standards, and ensuring continuous quality improvement across the organisation.
Job Description
- Conduct quality audits, inspections, and investigations in accordance with the Quality Assurance System;
- Identify, document, and substantiate audit findings and concerns with supporting evidence;
- Evaluate and approve corrective action plans submitted by auditees;
- Ensure root cause analyses effectively address identified findings;
- Recommend solutions to mitigate risks through appropriate reporting channels;
- Verify and monitor the implementation of corrective actions within set timelines;
- Ensure effective execution of corrective action plans;
- Maintain and manage the IQSMS Quality Module;
- Liaise with and support SACAA and third-party auditors during audits and inspections;
- Assist in reviewing process owner manuals and documentation;
- Disseminate quality-related information to Operational Training and Maintenance teams;
- Support coordination of new route applications;
- Participate in relevant meetings, including Quality Assurance forums;
- Assist in authorising and issuing company authorisations for the Technical department;
- Identify gaps in departmental quality control processes and recommend improvements;
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Quality Manager;
- Stay updated with industry regulations and continuously enhance professional knowledge;
- Compile and contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly QA reports.
Job Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential);
- Certification as a Quality Auditor and Lead Auditor, including Root Cause Analysis training (Essential);
- Degree or Diploma in Quality Management (Advantageous);
- Safety Management Systems training (Advantageous);
- Minimum of 5 years’ auditing experience within aviation, including implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems across ORG, FLT, MNT, SEC, DSP, CAB, GRH, and CGO (Essential);
- IOSA Auditor certification;
- Technical aviation experience (Advantageous);
- Experience working within a Safety Management System;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Strong mentoring and coaching ability;
- Knowledge of SACAA regulations (CARs and CATs) and IOSA ISARPs;
- Solid understanding of QMS principles and their application within aviation standards.
