About the Program
Main Job Purpose
Deliver high-quality, nurse-led HIV and primary healthcare services to men who have sex with men (MSM) and other key populations through facility-based and mobile community services at Anova’s Ivan Toms Centre, mobile units, and other Department of Health sites as required. Provide integrated clinical care across the HIV prevention and treatment cascade, ensure client retention and viral suppression within assigned cohorts, uphold national clinical guidelines and quality standards, and contribute to stigma-free, client-centred healthcare that strengthens health outcomes and continuity of care.
Role Deliverables
Lead Mobile Clinical Services
- Plan, implement, and oversee mobile clinical and community-based activities to meet daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets.
- Ensure all activities comply with programme requirements and Department of Health policies.
- Maintain accurate data collection reflecting clinical and community services delivered.
- Manage planning, communication, and tracking systems to ensure continuous client follow-up.
- Directly supervise a Mobile Team Coordinator and HTS Counsellor.
Clinical Service Delivery, Cohort Management, and Retention Support
- Provide standard clinical services at the Ivan Toms Centre, mobile units, or other clinic sites, including HTS, ART, PrEP, PEP, STI and TB screening, and STI treatment.
- Deliver additional clinical services under guidance from CNPs or Senior Clinical Advisors, including NCD management, mental health, and other conditions.
- Ensure all clinical services are delivered within licensed scope of practice and in accordance with project SOPs and National Department of Health Guidelines.
- Oversee client linkage to care, follow-up, and referrals to specialist care as needed.
- Provide clinical oversight to assigned cohorts, ensuring viral suppression, PrEP continuation, and all other clinical needs are met.
Quality Assurance and Routine Monitoring
- Conduct daily quality assurance to ensure accuracy of clinical services and reporting.
- Supervise non-clinical staff in both mobile and facility-based teams.
- Perform clinical quality assurance procedures, including rapid test continuous quality improvement, per organizational and National Department of Health standards.
- Maintain proficiency in current clinical guidelines, licenses, and SOPs.
- Manage clinical practice spaces, materials, equipment, and medications at all service sites according to Health and Safety and Infection Control policies.
- Maintain operational records and provide routine inventories as required by the Senior Clinical Advisor.
Project Support and Administration
- Complete programme reporting and data management, including updating clinical records, registers, and performance reports.
- Support training and capacity-building for both clinical and non-clinical staff and stakeholders.
- Provide additional administrative, clinical, and programme support as requested.
- Undertake responsibilities delegated by management to support effective service delivery.
