Role Purpose
PepsiCo Vacancies is seeking a Procurement Category Lead to drive strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimisation for Capex, MRO, and Energy categories. The role provides leadership across procurement initiatives, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives, global best practices, and sector benchmarks while delivering productivity and P&L impact.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Execution
- Design and implement global technical platforms and competitive sourcing tools to deliver cost advantage.
- Review and approve evaluations of Capex, MRO, and Energy RFPs, leveraging category levers to achieve lowest total cost to business (TCO).
- Lead Value Engineering and productivity initiatives, utilising regional and global leverage to deliver sustained run-rate savings and P&L benefits.
- Establish and govern commodity splits, CVA, and pricing mechanisms to manage risk and optimise cost strategies.
Supplier Management & Development
- Select and manage suppliers in line with procurement strategy, including participation in regional supplier evaluations and negotiations.
- Develop new suppliers and maintain supplier quality assurance (SQA) and sustainability compliance.
- Manage supplier relationships through quarterly scorecard reviews and lead dispute resolution for supply, quality, and financial issues.
- Drive supplier diversity programs, including strategy, roadshows, due diligence, and vetting of sustainable supply solutions.
Project & Transformation Leadership
- Manage timelines and act as gatekeeper for transformational projects, ensuring on-time execution of critical purchasing tasks.
- Support internal and technical projects, including Capex implementation, process optimisation, and equipment upgrades.
- Identify and execute productivity projects in cooperation with sector Procurement and XFP teams.
- Manage rollout of commodity risk management plans and playbooks across the portfolio.
Financial & Performance Accountability
- Deliver measurable year-on-year productivity savings for Capex and MRO categories.
- Monitor and report on P&L impact, category performance, and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Develop and execute end-to-end category sourcing strategies, aligning with commercial and financial priorities.
Qualifications & Experience
- 15 years of relevant strategic sourcing experience in the F&B industry within a global organisation, with multi-geography exposure in Capex & MRO procurement.
- At least 4 years in a senior procurement leadership role with spend accountability exceeding $50MM.
- Proven capability in BCP build, alternate sourcing, and substitution strategies for Capex & MRO.
- Track record of delivering ≥5% productivity improvements and significant P&L savings annually.
- Hands-on expertise in sourcing models, category levers, and cost optimisation.

- Ability to coordinate multiple cross-functional teams and drive change in complex environments.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to manage ambiguity effectively.
- Experience working in multicultural, international environments.
- High computer literacy, including ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and MS Office; familiarity with e-procurement tools is advantageous.
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Self-starter with initiative and ability to deliver results independently while driving long-term procurement strategy.
- Agile, adaptable, and capable of executing strategic sourcing in a dynamic business environment.
