Introduction
Clicks Group Careers is seeking a passionate Pharmacy Manager to lead a pharmacy team in delivering high standards of patient care and service excellence. This role reports to the Area Manager and offers the opportunity to drive operational efficiency, team performance, and customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
Pharmacy Leadership and Care
Lead and manage the pharmacy team to ensure high standards of pharmaceutical care, accurate and safe dispensing—including generic substitution—and professional advice, in line with Clicks’ procedures, good pharmacy practice, and SAPC regulations.
Operational Management
Oversee all dispensary and clinic operations, including stock control, shrinkage prevention, housekeeping, and administrative processes, ensuring compliance with merchandising standards, SAPC regulations, and company policies.
Financial and Performance Management
Ensure dispensary viability through effective financial management, focus on core dispensary and clinic targets, control of expenses, and proactive decision-making.
Team Development and People Management
Build and maintain a competent and motivated team, including learners and interns, through effective selection, leadership, coaching, and ongoing development to meet current and future business needs.
Staff Scheduling and Labour Management
Schedule staff according to labour policies and models, ensure weekly time and attendance, and maintain accurate employee records for HR submission.
Customer Experience and Loyalty
Drive customer service initiatives to deliver exceptional experiences, enhance customer loyalty, and achieve club card participation targets.
Integrated Healthcare Offering
Foster collaboration with the clinic and healthcare aisle to provide customers with a complete healthcare solution.
Business Culture and Values
Promote cohesion, consistency, and integration across store, pharmacy, and clinic teams, driving a high-performing culture that enhances employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Registered Pharmacist with SAPC
- Minimum 2 years’ experience post-community service
- Minimum 1 year People Management experience
- Registration with SAPC as the Responsible Pharmacist
- Retail pharmacy experience (desirable)
- Unisolve experience (desirable)
