About the Program
Introduction
Clicks is seeking a Pharmacy Manager who is passionate about helping people feel good and confident in leading a team to deliver exceptional patient care and service excellence. The Pharmacy Manager will report to the Area Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring the dispensary and clinic operate efficiently while achieving sales, compliance, and service targets.
Duties & Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
- Lead and manage the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of pharmaceutical care, driving service excellence and competitive advantage for the brand.
Job Objectives:
- Ensure accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution, and provide professional advice in line with Clicks’ standards, good pharmacy practice, and the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) regulations.
- Manage all operational activities of the dispensary, including stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administration in compliance with SAPC regulations and company standards.
- Maintain operational viability of the dispensary through sound financial management, focus on core targets, expense control, and proactive decision-making.
- Build a competent and motivated team, including learners and interns, through effective recruitment, leadership, management, and ongoing development.
- Schedule staff according to labour policies to ensure appropriate coverage, and maintain accurate time and attendance records submitted to HR.
- Drive customer service initiatives that enhance the customer experience, foster loyalty, and achieve club card participation targets.
- Integrate pharmacy operations with clinic and healthcare aisle offerings to meet comprehensive customer healthcare needs.
- Support Clicks’ vision as the first-choice health and beauty retailer by embodying company values.
- Promote cohesion and integration between store, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
- Foster a high-performing culture that delivers employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Essential: Registered Pharmacist with SAPC
- Essential: Minimum 2 years post-community service experience
- Essential: Minimum 1 year people management experience
- Essential: Registration with SAPC as Responsible Pharmacist
- Desirable: Retail pharmacy experience
- Desirable: Unisolv experience
