About the Program

Introduction
The Pharmacist Assistant QPB is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care services within scope of practice and performing daily dispensary administration in line with company Standard Operating Plans (SOPs). The role focuses on accurate script administration and general dispensing duties while prioritising patient satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Objectives:

  • Interact professionally with customers while maintaining strict confidentiality according to SOPs and agreed timelines.
  • Administer scripts and manage all claiming or capturing procedures accurately.
  • Ensure complete and accurate handling of all patient profiles.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals as required.
  • Resolve queries and follow up on issues efficiently.

Duties:

  • Communicate with customers via telephone or other channels regarding medications and healthcare services.
  • Accurately capture scripts received at the Central Pharmacy Centre.
  • Manage prescription queries and patient profiles.
  • Assist with chronic authorizations.
  • Liaise with other departments as required.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as needed for operational requirements.

Knowledge:

  • Product knowledge, including over-the-counter (OTC) items
  • SAPC regulations and relevant legal knowledge
  • Understanding of chronic authorization processes and procedures
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ethical work practices and compliance

  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
