About the Program

Introduction
Unicare is seeking a qualified Nursing Practitioner to join the Clinic team at our 24hr Pharmacy in Bellville, Cape Town. This role is responsible for building and managing a commercially viable clinic by delivering professional, value-adding healthcare services in compliance with South African Nursing Council (SANC) regulations and company policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Objectives:

• Develop and grow a loyal client base through effective promotion of clinic services and delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.
• Provide comprehensive clinic services, including lifestyle management screenings, ‘well baby’ clinics, health immunisations, baby health monitoring, reproductive health services, adult immunisations, primary healthcare (minor ailments and wound care), and phlebotomy services.
• Counsel and advise patients on health information, weight management, and refer to Pharmacists or other healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Maintain patient records securely, confidentially, and accurately on electronic systems while ensuring payment for all services rendered.
• Ensure smooth clinic operations through efficient administration, booking of locums, and accurate reporting on finances and stock management.
• Manage stock effectively, prevent loss or shrinkage, and monitor the cold chain with strict adherence to medical safety protocols.
• Build professional healthcare networks to enhance the clinic’s commercial viability and service offering.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute Health Days and other initiatives to enhance customer offerings.
• Manage adverse events and emergencies professionally and efficiently.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Experience:

• Essential: Minimum 3 years practical experience across diverse nursing disciplines, preferably in Community Health, Primary Health, and Midwifery.
• Desirable: Experience with Unisolv and Allegra systems.

Education:

• Essential: Registered Nursing Practitioner with SANC
• Essential: 3-year Diploma in Nursing or 4-year Nursing Degree
