Main Purpose of the Role
The Mobile Driver / Data Capturer ensures the safe transportation of staff and outreach teams, manages the mobile clinic or work vehicle, and provides logistics support during field activities. The role also supports outreach operations through accurate data capturing, reporting, and adherence to data quality and compliance standards.
Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities
Transport and Logistics
- Safely transport staff to outreach sites and offices in line with road safety regulations and organisational policies.
- Manage the mobile clinic or work vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and cleanliness.
- Maintain accurate fuel, mileage, and maintenance records.
- Load and unload field equipment, including chairs, tents, and generators.
- Report damages promptly and adhere to vehicle policies and weekly inspection requirements.
Outreach Support
- Provide on-site support to outreach teams with youth-centred information, self-care guidance, risk reduction strategies, and condom distribution.
- Support Human Rights Ambassadors with education on GBV, PrEP, and SRH.
- Support linkage of HIV-positive clients to care and facilitate ART initiation in line with protocols.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality control, waste management, and infection prevention standards.
- Manage HTS supplies and ensure safe storage and availability during outreach.
Administration Support
- Complete and submit daily client data and activity reports.
- Monitor data against targets and support corrective actions where needed.
- Perform delegated administrative tasks and maintain professional conduct at all times.
- Build and maintain relationships with health facilities to support client linkage and continuity of care.
- Submit timesheets accurately and on time.
Data Capture and Data Management
- Apply standard operating procedures for data management and data quality.
- Ensure routine pre-retrieval and management of client folders.
- Capture data accurately into relevant electronic medical records systems.
- Conduct routine data audits and prepare reports on key indicators.
- Submit all required reports within agreed timelines.
- Participate in continuous data quality improvement activities.
- Generate and action line lists from electronic medical records to support patient and programme management.
- Maintain effective filing systems to strengthen data management.
- Ensure compliance with information governance, confidentiality, and controlled access to information systems.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence with PDP.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum of three years’ professional driving experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
