About the Role
The Merchandise Administrator is responsible for coordinating and managing all administrative activities related to brand selection and expansion. This role ensures smooth communication, accurate data management, and effective support across merchandising, suppliers, and internal teams to drive product availability and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and maintain detailed inflow plans for approved products
- Calculate shipping timelines and determine inbound target dates
- Act as the main point of contact for all brand-related communication
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure compliance, effective communication, and reporting
- Create selling prices for buy plans and manage the approval process
- Track stock movement and ensure timely delivery to stores
- Conduct product performance analysis and generate reports
- Monitor sales performance and track results against budget targets
- Manage product samples and maintain the sample room
- Coordinate marketing and visual merchandising activities
- Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as required
Minimum Requirements
- Matric qualification
- Relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience in retail or distribution centre operations is beneficial
- Strong supplier communication experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Intermediate computer literacy, particularly in Google Workspace
- South African citizenship required
