About the Role

FlySafair is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Manager: Digital Solutions to lead the delivery and optimisation of enterprise systems and digital initiatives. This role is responsible for driving innovation, ensuring system stability, and enabling scalable solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.

Job Description

• Deliver scalable, efficient, and high-performing enterprise systems that support digital transformation and innovation;
• Lead system optimisation, enterprise integrations, automation initiatives, and digital projects;
• Develop and prioritise strategic roadmaps aligned with organisational objectives;
• Oversee project execution to ensure successful and timely delivery of initiatives;
• Proactively manage risks to maintain system stability, compliance, and continuity;
• Ensure technical integrity through robust quality assurance practices;
• Provide regular management reporting on performance, progress, and risks;
• Manage budgets, invoices, and financial resources responsibly;
• Design systems and integrations with scalability to support future growth;
• Measure outcomes and return on investment to ensure long-term business value;
• Leverage system data, analytics, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement;
• Oversee operational performance of enterprise systems, integrations, and automation platforms;
• Manage incidents, upgrades, releases, and system changes to maintain reliability;
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the digital solutions team;
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement;
• Promote skills development and knowledge transfer within the team;
• Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and partners;
• Oversee vendor contracts, licensing, and SLA compliance;
• Ensure all systems and initiatives comply with organisational policies, standards, and regulations;
• Develop and maintain technical policies, standards, and governance frameworks;
• Manage risks related to system security, resilience, and business continuity;
• Drive structured knowledge sharing and maintain documentation for long-term sustainability;
• Ensure proper version control, documentation, and retention practices;
• Lead change management initiatives to support successful adoption of new systems and enhancements;
• Align system delivery with user readiness, training, and support requirements;
• Champion innovation in enterprise architecture and automation technologies;
• Promote data-driven decision-making across digital initiatives;
• Demonstrate strong leadership through clear communication, collaboration, and accountability;
• Empower teams, encourage problem-solving, and build high-performing cross-functional alignment;
• Apply best practice frameworks and align solutions to architectural standards.

Job Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential);
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Essential);
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (Advantageous);
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT, including at least 3 years in a managerial role (Essential);
• Proven experience in systems architecture, integration, and automation (Essential);
• Aviation industry experience (Advantageous).
