Job Description
Pep Vacancies is seeking a creative, trend-aware, and highly organised Junior Designer to join a dynamic and fast-moving design team. This role supports the full design lifecycle, from trend research and concept development to technical execution and sample evaluation. The successful Junior Designer will combine a strong commercial mindset with a passion for high-street retail, translating global fashion trends into accessible, wearable collections that resonate with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, analyse, and present trend-led insights that align global consumer movements with the PEP merchandise strategy to inform seasonal product development
• Support Marketing and Merchandise teams with styling direction to ensure product ranges remain current, relevant, and commercially appealing
• Convert international fashion and market trends into compelling mood boards and clear design insights
• Produce accurate technical drawings to support product development across the PEP business
• Design and develop graphics, prints, and embroideries using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with Buyers to ensure ranges are well balanced, commercially viable, and deliver the right level of innovation and newness

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design or a related creative discipline
• Minimum of 2 years’ design experience within a high-volume retail environment
• Exposure to manufacturing or production-led environments is advantageous
• Proven experience in graphic design for a major retailer, with a clear understanding of brand identity and customer behaviour
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Ability to integrate Generative AI tools, such as Midjourney, into the design process for mood boards, textile designs, and rapid concept development
