About the Role
Value Logistics is seeking a driven and experienced Forecourt Sales Representative to manage and expand sales within petrol station forecourts and convenience outlets. This role requires a strong understanding of forecourt operations, high-volume stock environments, and fast-moving consumer goods, particularly within beverage and snack categories.
The Forecourt Sales Representative will focus on growing market share, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring consistent product availability and merchandising excellence across the forecourt channel.
Key Responsibilities
Account Development & Growth
- Develop and grow accounts within the forecourt and convenience retail segment, with a focus on beverage and snack categories
- Manage and promote private label product ranges
- Build strong relationships with site managers and forecourt staff to drive sales performance
- Track SKU performance, especially fast-moving items, and recommend range and assortment improvements
Merchandising & Stock Management
- Provide high-frequency service to ensure optimal stock availability and merchandising standards
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment to prevent out-of-stock situations
- Manage promotional activations, including receiving promotional catalogues and driving sales in line with campaign objectives
- Ensure effective point-of-sale execution at all forecourt locations
Sales Execution & Reporting
- Execute structured route plans, prioritising forecourts and adhering strictly to Nominated Delivery Days (NDDs)
- Provide insights into consumer buying behaviour specific to the forecourt environment
- Assist with credit control processes and reconcile on-site transactions and payments
- Compile and present detailed reports reflecting forecourt channel performance and activities
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 5–10 years’ related sales experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in forecourt or convenience retail sales
- Proven sales performance record over the past 12 months
- Excellent communication skills
