Job Description
Fidelity is seeking trained and dedicated Fire Fighters to respond to fire-related incidents, provide emergency rescue services, deliver basic medical care, and ensure fire prevention and safety for clients. This role involves operating and maintaining firefighting equipment, participating in training exercises, and supporting all activities required to protect lives and property.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to fires, rescues, and other emergency or humanitarian incidents.
• Manage incidents involving hazardous substances.
• Extricate casualties and perform emergency operations under supervision.
• Provide first aid and resuscitation to injured persons.
• Operate firefighting equipment and vehicles to control and extinguish fires.
• Undertake fire protection duties in life- or property-threatening situations.
• Participate in training drills, simulations, and physical fitness programs.
• Train employees on fire safety theory and practices.
• Advise on preventative and corrective fire safety measures.
• Perform basic maintenance on firefighting equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain computerized logs and proper records of daily occurrences.
• Conduct health and safety inspections to ensure a safe work environment.
• Drive and operate heavy and specialized vehicles at emergency scenes.
• Operate machinery for rescue operations and accessing buildings.
• Support fire safety inspections, life safety education, and training drills.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and company policies.
• Complete shift-related administrative duties, including maintaining records and registers.
• Undertake supervisory and personnel-related functions as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12 minimum.
• IFSAC Accredited.
• NFPA 1001 Firefighter II Certification.
• Minimum 2–3 years firefighting experience.
• Valid Code C1 Driver’s License with PrDP; advanced driving advantageous.
• Medically and physically fit.
• Knowledge of fire prevention procedures and firefighting systems.
• Clear criminal record.
• Hazmat experience and knowledge essential.
• EMT Certification; First Aid levels 1–3; Basic Ambulance Attendant.

Core Competencies

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of Hazmat protocols.
• Knowledge of the security industry and adherence to Group and regulatory codes of conduct.
• Understanding of firefighter instructor applications in operational roles.
• Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations.
• Administrative, interpersonal, and customer liaison skills.
