Key Responsibilities
Business Growth and Sales
- Provide professional and relevant financial advice, planning, and products to new and existing clients.
- Procure sustainable, high-quality business in line with set targets.
- Maintain and service client relationships to build loyalty and generate ongoing advice and sales.
- Apply knowledge of market segmentation and customer profiles to support sales and growth.
- Promote the Sanlam brand while adhering to Treating Customers Fairly principles.
Networking, Prospecting, and Lead Generation
- Generate new business through face-to-face interactions, social and business networks, associations, and presentations.
- Convert trusted relationships into business relationships and strengthen existing ones.
- Utilise client base and Sanlam resources to identify sales opportunities.
- Implement focused marketing campaigns for new and existing clients.
- Monitor client activities such as policy maturities, cancellations, or surrenders and respond proactively.
Client Consultations and Financial Planning
- Conduct comprehensive fact-finding and financial needs analysis using relevant tools or Para-Planner support.
- Develop personalised financial plans and solutions to meet clients’ needs.
- Present financial solutions professionally and competently.
- Capture analysis and client information using relevant systems.
- Review client portfolios annually to ensure alignment with financial goals.
Client Service and Relationship Management
- Maintain ethical, courteous, and professional client interactions.
- Follow up on business queries and ensure timely resolution.
- Deliver exceptional client service to prevent attrition to competitors.
- Continuously update knowledge of financial products, industry trends, and market developments.
- Build and sustain long-term client relationships.
Monitoring, Reporting, and Administration
- Document and report on contacts, appointments, consultations, issued business, and revenue against targets.
- Maintain and update client records accurately.
- Ensure proper workflow and system activity entries.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12.
- Compliant with FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements.
- Regulatory Examination successfully completed if registered with the FSCA for more than 24 months.
