About the Program
Truworths is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Clerk to join the Expense team. In this role, you will ensure the timely processing of supplier payments, resolution of queries, and contribute to maintaining strong business relationships with suppliers across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to the Expense Supervisor and support the daily operations of the Expense team.
- Validate expense invoices, including tax details, on a daily basis.
- Process invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare reconciliations for creditors’ accounts and ensure accuracy.
- Resolve account queries promptly and liaise with suppliers as needed.
- Compile and manage payment runs.
- Monitor and manage the Expense Creditors inbox.
- Adhere to weekly and monthly deadlines and respond to audit queries.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric with relevant work experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in creditors’ or expense processing.
- Knowledge of VAT requirements and valid tax invoice standards.
- Experience working within a team environment is advantageous.
Competencies
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Oracle Financials.
- Advanced Excel skills essential.
- Confident in interacting with superiors and suppliers.
- Ability to resolve client queries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and complete month-end functions efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Effective communicator with attention to detail, a positive attitude, and team-oriented mindset.
