About the Role
FlySafair is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Operator to support the upkeep, safety, and functionality of equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role is essential in ensuring reliable operations through routine maintenance, timely repairs, and adherence to safety standards.
Job Description
- Perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks on equipment, machinery, and facilities to maintain optimal performance and safety;
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and basic servicing activities;
- Conduct adjustments and replace minor components to restore equipment efficiency;
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment;
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-organised workspaces during and after maintenance tasks;
- Accurately record completed maintenance work and report recurring faults or material requirements;
- Ensure compliance with company maintenance procedures, safety regulations, and housekeeping standards;
- Contribute to maintenance improvements and modifications to enhance operational efficiency;
- Provide guidance and hands-on support to maintenance assistants during tasks.
Job Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (Essential);
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction or maintenance (Essential);
- Valid driver’s licence (Essential);
- Solid knowledge of plumbing systems;
- Good understanding of general maintenance practices.
