About the Program
Truworths is seeking a Facilities Co-Ordinator with retail experience to join the Store Design Contracts Department at Head Office, reporting to the National Contracts Manager. This role is key to the success of the business, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the Company’s retail property portfolio while supporting store build projects across the network. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate, track, and ensure timely resolution of building and plant maintenance issues across all stores, including water ingress, HVAC, escalators, hoists, and fire damage.
  • Prepare progress reports and supporting documentation in collaboration with the Property Management Team, Legal Team, Operations, Landlords, and Contracts Management.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, external service providers, and stakeholders to achieve departmental and project objectives.
  • Support the implementation of new processes and systems for facilities management.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation compliance for all operational processes.
  • Engage with store Operations teams, contractors, and support departments to resolve issues and coordinate activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric/Grade 12 with NQF 4 in Facilities Management or Project Management (essential).
  • NQF 5/6 in Facilities Management (desirable).
  • 3–5 years’ experience in Property Management or Project Coordination, preferably in a retail property or retail build environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Knowledge of retail property principles.
