About the Program:

The Divisional Internal Auditor provides internal audit services at store and divisional levels, focusing on delivering assurance to management regarding compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • NQF Level 6 Internal Audit diploma with 4 years of internal audit experience
  • Knowledge of IIA standards
  • Understanding of key business processes including accounting, finance, procurement, and inventory
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively
  • CIA qualification and prior retail industry experience advantageous
  • Experience with internal audit software, BarnOwl skills beneficial

Key Performance Areas:

Compliance Reviews

  • Conduct detailed audits at store level to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including:
    • Compliance audits
    • Roaming audits
    • Store opening audits
    • Store closure audits

Follow-Up Reviews

  • Perform follow-up audits to assess corrective action implementation

Technical, Professional & Special Projects

  • Improve and create audit programs for new focus areas
  • Review company policies and procedures
  • Participate in special investigations, forensic audits, tip-offs, and management requests
  • Conduct stock take reviews and investigate high-risk areas identified through CAATs

Provide Direction

  • Develop operational plans to achieve audit objectives
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures within the audit scope
  • Act as a role model, driving company values and motivating employees to align with the organization’s vision and mission
