Digital Workplace Specialist – SAB Vacancies

Job Purpose
The Digital Workplace Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive IT and OT support to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimization of digital systems within the workplace. This role encompasses hardware, software, network, and manufacturing system support, while maintaining high standards of service delivery and compliance with IT best practices.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide hardware support and maintenance across IT infrastructure
  • Deliver software and application support, including installation, configuration, and upgrades
  • Assist with network administration, cybersecurity, and data backup/recovery processes
  • Troubleshoot printers, handheld devices, access control systems, and mobile devices
  • Provide support for boardroom and meeting room technology
  • Manage IT stock and assets, including inventory control
  • Handle incident and request management in line with ITIL best practices
  • Offer onsite technical support for IT and OT systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
  • Resolve technical issues in manufacturing systems such as PLCs, HMIs, Thin-Manager, and SCADA systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless IT and OT operations
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent technical disruptions
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and best practices for future reference

Key Attributes and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment
  • Experience with OT protocols and devices (HMIs, sensors)
  • Familiarity with industrial network architectures (Ethernet, Wi-Fi)
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, Azure EntraID, SCCM, and SCOM
  • Experience with SQL maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience managing end-user devices, including troubleshooting and repairs
  • Knowledge of access control systems, printers, collaboration tools, handheld devices, and mobile devices
  • Proficient in operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)
  • Understanding of network protocols, devices, and industrial control systems (ICS)
  • Experience with SCADA systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Understanding of data backup and recovery procedures
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and ServiceNow

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Relevant IT and OT certifications or training may be considered equivalent to formal education
  • 2–5 years’ experience in IT and/or OT support roles
  • Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments
