Job Description

Tekkie Town is seeking a technically skilled Designer to join the dynamic design team at AYANA, a fashion-forward womenswear brand. The role focuses on supporting the product development process by producing precise CAD drawings and detailed technical packs across apparel, footwear, and accessories.

The successful candidate will translate creative design direction into clear technical documentation to ensure efficient product development and accurate execution of new styles.

Key Responsibilities

• Create accurate CAD drawings for garments and products using Adobe Illustrator
• Update CAD drawings throughout the development process to reflect design adjustments and ensure clear supplier communication
• Develop and maintain detailed technical packs including garment specifications, construction details, trims, and annotations
• Translate creative design concepts into clear technical documentation to support the development of new products
• Monitor global and local fashion trends through runway insights, retail benchmarking, and industry research
• Identify relevant product updates and new style opportunities to support commercially successful collections
• Maintain product flow sheets, CAD libraries, and design documentation to ensure information remains organized and accessible
• Manage CADs, technical packs, and product details on internal systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date product records
• Collaborate with design, buying, and product development teams to ensure smooth product development and accurate product execution

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design or a related field

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in clothing design with proven experience in apparel design
• Experience with international retail benchmarking and global trend research
• Background in a fashion retail or product development environment
• Strong experience creating CAD drawings and technical packs for garments
• Understanding of the fashion retail merchandise cycle and product development processes
• Strong technical design skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support product development and delivery
