Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies (CJ Speciality) is seeking a CJS Customer Liaison Officer to join the Head Office team. The successful candidate will act as the key point of contact between clients, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring accurate information sharing, efficient service delivery, and high levels of customer satisfaction. The role focuses on resolving queries, managing orders, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate
  • Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant Qualification
  • 2–5 years’ relevant experience in customer service

Advantageous:

  • Relevant Business Development qualification
  • Experience with SAP, Unisolve, and EWM systems
  • Knowledge of hospital and surgical products

Job Specification

Pharmacy Council Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the sale of Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 medicines under pharmacist supervision
  • Support stock control and distribution of Schedule 1–6 medicines
  • Facilitate ordering of medicines as per authorised instructions
  • Prepare and dispense prescriptions under supervision, including labelling and packaging
  • Provide accurate usage instructions to customers

Product Sourcing:

  • Improve sourcing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Apply ethical negotiation practices to secure beneficial deals
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies
  • Evaluate supplier performance and manage supply chain risks
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, internal teams, and customers
  • Work closely with the warehouse to prioritise and fulfil orders

Stakeholder Relationships:

  • Represent the company in line with its mission, vision, and values
  • Build and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships
  • Ensure high standards of service delivery
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and recommend improvements
  • Conduct customer satisfaction research and analyse feedback
  • Strengthen trust through effective communication and engagement

Customer Service:

  • Handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls efficiently
  • Process orders within required timelines
  • Maintain accurate communication records with stakeholders
  • Address issues related to unfulfilled or delayed orders
  • Follow established communication protocols and turnaround times

Reporting and Administration:

  • Monitor and report on customer service performance
  • Record all queries and resolutions daily
  • Identify root causes of issues and recommend long-term solutions
  • Compile reports on product performance, sales, and customer feedback
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review sales performance
  • Present new product ranges to senior management
