BUSINESS ANALYST

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Business Analyst will ensure that business processes and systems align with industry standards and best practices, while providing ongoing process and technology support to drive continuous improvements in efficiency and productivity across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support and enhance existing business processes and technology solutions, recommending improvements aligned to business requirements
• Lead business process design, including functional and technical specifications
• Manage, test, and implement system changes and enhancements
• Deliver user training, develop and maintain training materials, and support change management initiatives
• Provide system consulting and business process advisory services
• Conduct in-depth business process analysis to identify optimization opportunities
• Manage projects by developing and tracking project plans, engaging stakeholders, and controlling costs, budgets, and resources
• Monitor relevant regulations and compliance requirements to ensure ongoing alignment
• Develop, document, maintain, and govern Business Standard Operating Procedures
• Design and produce management reports and documentation
• Manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment
• Lead and support a small team to deliver operational and project objectives
• Participate in ad hoc projects as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst
• Retail industry experience will be advantageous
• Advanced computer literacy, including Google Workspace
• Proven experience in change management
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools will be advantageous
• Strong understanding of Merchandise processes will be advantageous
• Willingness to travel to African countries on an ad hoc basis
• South African citizenship
