Role Overview
As a Branch Manager, you will drive the growth of the customer base and revenue for Sanlam Retail Mass by developing and implementing the retail branch strategy. You will lead, integrate, and standardise the activities of Sales Consultants while fostering a service-focused culture within and beyond the branch. You will also ensure the effective day-to-day management of branch operations, strategic planning, compliance, and people management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the branch strategy to achieve business and sales targets.
- Guide and standardise the objectives and activities of Sales Consultants in line with strategic goals.
- Promote a service delivery culture to enhance client experience.
- Oversee daily branch operations and ensure efficient business planning and administration.
- Ensure sales delivery, service standards, and compliance with quality and risk management frameworks.
- Manage all operational people practices for direct reports, including talent management, performance reviews, development, grievances, leave allocation, and capacity planning in collaboration with HR.
- Conduct monthly planning, monitoring, and reporting of branch sales and service activities.
- Identify and engage key internal and external stakeholders, such as Area Managers, business owners, and community forums, to strengthen relationships and partnerships.
Education and Experience
- Matric (Grade 12).
- RE1 and RE5.
- 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
- Annual Class of Business accreditation.
- Compliance with current and past Continuous Professional Development (CPD) cycles.
- Minimum 5 years recent industry experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Service management, insurance sales, and credit/lending experience are essential.
