Role Purpose
The Branch Consultant is responsible for promoting Sanlam Retail Mass products, driving branch sales performance, and delivering exceptional in-branch client service to grow market share and strengthen client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote Sanlam Retail Mass products through professional financial advice and excellent client engagement.
- Identify opportunities for client optimisation and cross-selling of value-added services.
- Deliver branch sales targets while ensuring high standards of client service and retention.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, quality, and risk management requirements.
- Conduct monthly planning and reporting of sales and service activities.
- Identify and engage key internal and external stakeholders, including Area Managers, Business Owners, activation sites, and community forums, to build and sustain strong relationships.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a sales or marketing role.
- Experience within insurance or financial services branches is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12).
- RE5 qualification is advantageous.
- FAIS compliant (Wealth Management) in line with DOFA requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Strong client service orientation.
- Sales and cross-selling strategies with a focus on client optimisation.
- Understanding of the insurance landscape, including regulatory requirements and advisory guidelines.
- Knowledge of insurance products is advantageous.
- Persistent focus on achieving sales and service targets.
- Ability to analyse information and apply insights effectively.
- Technologically proficient with digital sales tools.
- Strong selling, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with adaptability and a willingness to learn.
