Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Banking Administrator to join the Head Office team on a 4-month Fixed Term Contract. This role is responsible for accurately loading all supplier payments into the banking systems according to Dis-Chem standard operating procedures, maintaining precise data records, and ensuring timely account processing.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• 2 to 3 years’ experience in Fixed Assets and Banking Systems

Advantageous:

• Experience with SAP
• Relevant Accounting qualification

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately load all banking payments and post invoices to vendor accounts within the set timeframe
• Perform account verification for all new beneficiaries and load them onto the banking system
• Maintain perpetual inventory records and reconcile all Company Codes and Fixed Asset Registers to the General Ledger
• Communicate regularly with staff and vendors regarding batch processing on the banking system
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures

Competencies

Essential:

• Knowledge of Fixed Assets and Banking programs
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
• Solid financial accounting skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and diligence
• Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently
• Strong planning, prioritization, and time management skills
• Self-motivated, trustworthy, and honest

Advantageous:

• Experience with banking systems
• Proficiency in a second language

• South African citizen
• Clear criminal and credit record
• Driver’s license and/or own reliable transport
